I got up in front of a audience of maybe 60 or 70 people, talked about what we're doing with blogging in RBI for half an hour, and survived. Anil didn't leap from his chair and wrestle me to the ground. Chris even said something nice about my presentation, but then, I'm a client, so…
Nearly lost my voice as a result, mind, but I got there.
I'm now able to relax, enjoy the rest of my time here in New York, and get all excited about the new features coming to Movable Type.
*phew*
I recommend it highly if you ever have to spend a few hours correcting other people's Movable Type template errors.
After an entertaining 20 minutes prising my wife out of bed with a crowbar this morning (she wanted to be up at a reasonable hour this morning, and knew she wouldn't manage it alone), I am now back in the office.
I note that IS have (briefly) broken Movable Type while I was away, and that Windows Live Messenger is no longer working.
And I've had my quota of coffee for this morning.
I suspect that this is going to be a long, hard day.
Another busy day's desk clearing at EG today. One more day, and I should be free to take up residence at RBI central full time.
Spent a little chunk of the day fiddling around with Movable Type 3.3 on my own blog, trying to get a feel of how it operates, and how I'm going to set things up for our bloggers. The single feature I'm probably most excited by is the Widget Manager, although the activity feeds may well be invaluable, too. Exciting, exciting.
I'd have liked to have spent longer playing, but the sooner I clear my desk, the sooner I can go full time on the new project. Humbug.
